Redalyc continues to improve the XML JATS tagging tool #Marcalyc is offered without charge to almost the 1,415 scientific journals that it indexes.
On its more recent updates, Marcalyc presents the following characteristics:
- The possibility that the user indicates if the electronic pagination is added.
- The logic on the decision of using the PDF Riga or Upsala model is changed, now it is made for all numbers of the journal and not per article.
- The generation of the XML for SciELO to the v1.9 scheme.
- In the visualization products for all review-type articles, it is not necessary to include the cover image.
- It is allowed to scroll and collapse the group of references.
- The limit of the maximum size of the article’s original PDF that is uploaded to Marcalyc has increased.
- Errors were corrected in:
- The download of the article that was used in the importation of the tagging products to OJS.
- The tag <sc> (versalite) which in some cases is duplicated.
- Styles on the viewer, mobile viewer, and PDF
- The translated version of Marcalyc.
- Translation of the XML tags’ content
- Information of the products.
- The finalization of the numbers of constant publication.
- Creative Commons licenses icons that are visualized on the viewers.
- Style on the head of the charts is added, both for viewers and for the XML.
- The validation for making the tagging of the article’s title obligatory (<article-title>) in the Journal type references (journal) is made.
- In the XML of a review-type article, the link (<xref>) is added on the cover image.
- Improvements on the window of the Assistant for the Interference of references are made.
- Errors on the button that allows deleting a section when a number’s information is being created or edited are corrected.
- In the XML, the tag for the title (<title>) on the acknowledgments (<ack>) is added.
- In the PDF, the metadata which describes the Creative Commons license is added.
- The validation for making the tagging of an author’s affiliation complete is added.
- The tags for the Comment and the URL on the tagging of a reference are separated, in this way, the content can be separated in the XML.
- Errors on the assignment of external links on the URL element of the <referencias/apéndices/> tab are corrected.
- The visualization of Japanese characters is available on the viewers.
- The visualization of the journal’s main data on the viewers is updated.
- The regularity of the journal is added on the viewers.
- The route of the journal’s and the institution’s logos that are visualized in the headline and the Redalyc’s logo at the footnote.
- Links to other visualization products are corrected on the viewers.
- In the PDF generated from the tagging, the pagination is added, for both printing and electronic.
- In the HTML, the logo’s size is adjusted to respect certain standard measures.
- The complete content of the summaries is shown on the curtain of the viewer.
- In the downloadable HTML, logos of the author’s identification (<contrid-id>) are added, for example, ORCID’s.
- The URL address for the ORCID type identifiers is updated.
- The possibility of adding styles in the author’s information of correspondence (<corresp>) is now available.
- The dimension of the downloadable page of the HTML is corrected.
- The previsualization of the Creative Commons licenses is deleted on the viewer.
